Professional Bio
Christina Haynes is an assistant professor of African American studies. She received her bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University in history and English. She received her doctoral degree from Ohio State University in Educational Studies. Professor Haynes does research on narratives of academically successful African American women who attend predominately-White institutions (PWIs) and media depictions of Michelle Obama. She is currently working on a book about academically successful African American women at PWI’s.
