In October of 2020, Hearst launched a series of innovative virtual video forums hosted by Soledad O’Brien. Planned for four times per year, the Matter of Fact Listening Tour addresses some of the most challenging issues surrounding race and justice in America.  Building on the Matter of Fact brand and leveraging multiple Hearst journalism brands, the Listening Tour is a deep dive into critical topics impacting the country -- targeting fresh approaches, emerging voices and bold solutions to age-old problems.

AFAM’s Ray Block participated in the episode "To Be an American: Identity, Race and Justice." The entire episode is more than an hour long, and he was one of the voices they wanted to feature in this important conversation, specifically in the segment called, “The Other Side of the Tracks: An American Story.”

Here is the clip of him talking about his research, and here is an article based on the TV segment.
